We cater to all levels of enthusiasts, offering three distinct types of events: GPS Distance Challenge, GPS Points Challenge, and Rally Challenge. Our events are open to cars, trucks, motorcycles, side-by-sides, and quads, provided they're street-legal and reliable for off-road travel. So, buckle up and get ready for the ultimate off-road experience!
Our events are designed to be a fun and challenging adventure for all participants. To ensure a fair and enjoyable experience, speed limits are in place to level the playing field for all vehicle types. Participants must have a tablet or phone with a GPS receiver, preferably an Android device, but Apple products will work too. Free apps, including mapping software and a GPX track recorder, are necessary for participation. For longer events, additional safety equipment is required (details on our safety page).
GPS Distance Challenge
There is no set route to follow in the GPS Distance Challenge. Participants must travel the shortest distance between a set of waypoints the organizer provides using a GPS device. The challenge must be completed within the specified time, with bonuses awarded for uploading photos to the race control website, maintaining average speeds, crossing waypoints in order, and solving puzzles. Penalties apply for speeding and not finishing within the required time limit.
GPS Points Challenge
The GPS Points Challenge is another exciting event with no set route. Using their GPS device, participants must find as many waypoints as possible within a fixed time. Points are awarded based on distance and technical difficulty, allowing adventurers to choose which waypoints to tackle. The participant with the most points wins! Bonuses and penalties follow similar rules as the GPS Distance Challenge.
Rally Challenge
Inspired by the world-famous Dakar Rally, our Rally Challenge follows a set route navigated using a digital roadbook on a tablet. The event organizer provides the roadbook at the start of each stage. The fastest time wins while maintaining speed limits to ensure fairness among all vehicle types. Penalties are given for missing checkpoints and exceeding speed limits.
